MediaNEST Software ("MediaNEST," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices you have.

MediaNEST is primarily a local Windows media management app. Your photos, videos, music files, playlists, folders, and local libraries remain on your own computer unless you choose to share files outside MediaNEST using your own tools or services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, account password, support messages, mailing list signups, and information submitted through website forms.

When you purchase or activate MediaNEST Pro, we may collect purchase records, order status, activation key information, license status, activation dates, and device activation details such as a device identifier hash, device name, activation count, and last check date.

If you use Google or Apple login, we may receive the account information needed to create or access your MediaNEST account, such as your email address, name, provider account identifier, and whether the provider reports your email as verified.

The website may also process routine technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, session cookies, security logs, error logs, and similar data needed to operate and protect the website.

2. Local Media Files

MediaNEST does not claim ownership of your media files.

The app is designed to organize and play local media selected by you. We do not upload, sell, or review your personal photo, video, or music library through normal app use.

Some app features may inspect local file names, paths, metadata, thumbnails, codecs, or duplicate file details on your computer so the app can organize, display, search, play, cast, convert, or back up app-related data. That processing is intended to happen locally unless a feature clearly requires online access.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage accounts, provide downloads, process purchases, issue activation keys, validate licenses, manage device activations, provide customer support, send account or purchase emails, operate the mailing list, prevent fraud or abuse, improve website reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

We may also use information to notify you about important account, license, security, support, policy, or product updates.

4. Payments

Payments may be handled by Stripe or another payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our website. Payment processors may collect and process payment information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

We may receive payment-related details needed for order records, such as payment status, order ID, product name, amount paid, customer email, and receipt details.

5. Google and Apple Login

If enabled, Google and Apple login are optional ways to access your MediaNEST account. We use the information returned by those providers only for account registration, login, account matching, verification, and security.

MediaNEST does not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Apple iCloud files, photos, contacts, calendars, or other unrelated account content for basic login.

You may manage connected login permissions through your Google Account or Apple Account settings, subject to each provider's controls.

6. Cookies and Sessions

The website may use cookies or similar session storage to keep you logged in, protect forms, remember account sessions, secure admin tools, and operate checkout or account features.

You can adjust cookie settings in your browser, but some site features may not work correctly without required cookies.

7. When Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information with service providers that help operate MediaNEST, such as payment processors, email delivery providers, hosting providers, analytics or security tools, OAuth providers, and support tools.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide accounts, downloads, purchases, activation, support, tax and accounting records, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Some records, such as purchase and license records, may need to be retained even after an account request so we can verify ownership, prevent license misuse, resolve disputes, and comply with business obligations.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No website, app, server, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your account password, email account, activation key, and devices secure.

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or review of personal information associated with your MediaNEST account, subject to identity verification and legal or business retention requirements.

You may unsubscribe from marketing or mailing list emails using the instructions in those messages or by contacting support. Transactional emails about accounts, purchases, licenses, security, or support may still be sent when needed.

11. Children

MediaNEST is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

12. International Users

MediaNEST is operated from the United States. If you use the website or app from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions may be posted on the website, included with the Software, or otherwise made available. Continued use of MediaNEST after an update means you accept the revised policy.
